Purpose of the Elementary Peer to Peer Program Playbook (Playbook):
The Playbook is designed to assist school teams in creating or enhancing elementary Peer to Peer programs by providing comprehensive guidance, essential resources, and ready-to-use materials for developing high-quality programs.
What is the structure of the Playbook?
Each section of the Playbook contains narrative guidance and key information about developing your program, resources, examples, and templates for use in developing, implementing, and maintaining your Peer to Peer program.
Should I use all the resources, examples, and templates found in the Playbook?
The Playbook is intended to fully equip your school team in developing, implementing, and maintaining an elementary Peer to Peer Program. However, your team may find that some of the resources are not necessary for your program development and/or that additional resources addressing the unique culture and expectations of your school community may need to be developed.

Should I use all the resources, examples, and templates found in the Playbook?
The Playbook is intended to fully equip your school team in developing, implementing, and maintaining a secondary Peer to Peer Program. However, your team may find that some of the resources are not necessary for your program development and/or that additional resources addressing the unique culture and expectations of your school community may need to be developed.
The Peer to Peer Elementary Curriculum is an organized package of resources that Peer to Peer teams can use at the Elementary level to structure their Peer to Peer implementation. Flexibility is also built into the curriculum given the unique needs of each Peer to Peer program.
Please note that lessons will be populated over the course of the 2024-2025 school year.
The Peer to Peer Secondary Curriculum: Reimagined is an updated version of the Peer to Peer Online Course. The goal of the Peer to Peer Secondary Curriculum: Reimagined is to provide access to quality, engaging, and age-appropriate content for Peer to Peer high school courses.
This revision offers refreshed content with an emphasis on neurodiversity and the strengths of people with autism and related disabilities. Given that the same instructional tools are not used universally across the state, central to this revision was the ability for educators to take the content and distribute it using the tools available to them. The Teacher Portal has the tools and resources necessary to deliver the revised content to students.
Peer to Peer Secondary Curriculum: Reimagined Teacher Portal
Adapting START materials:
START materials and tools must be used with integrity to their design and content; alterations can change the intended purpose, function, and alignment with the research base. Some START tools may be lightly adapted to meet the needs of a specific district, building, classroom, or learner (e.g., adding a district logo, incorporating local examples), provided that these changes do not alter the content, purpose or function of the tool. However, no changes that affect the integrity of a tool are to be made. This is especially important for tools, such as the CETA, where fidelity to the original design is essential.
