Coaching Community of Practice (CoP)

Purpose:

To bring together coach leaders and building coaches to work collaboratively with START to effectively promote the development of coaching structures and support the implementation of evidence-based practices through coaching.

Criteria for Participation:

  • Contact the START CoP Leads
  • Currently taking an active role in your ISD/district START coaching structure or trying to establish a coaching structure for the implementation of evidenced-based practice.
  • Current participation with START such as involvement in an RCN and/or attendance at trainings/CoPs for at least two years.

Current Priorities

  • Research different models of coaching and collaboratively establish a shared understanding of coaching
  • Explore the use of the START Coaching Structure Checklist
  • Review and provide feedback on tools that will support implementing a coaching structure, including expanding the Coaching Structure Guidebook and introducing tools for the “Coaching STARTs Here” Training Series
