W. Howard Bond
1931 - 2024
A former student of Ansel Adams, Ann Arbor, Michigan-based photographer W. Howard Bond has been regarded as a master of large-frame film photography. His signature black and white photographs range from close-up, abstract visions of rusted metal and peeling paint to misty and mysterious landscapes. His photographs often remove the context of the original scene, but they always bear witness to the beauty that can be found even in the most unlikely of places.
