Kailey spent the 2017 field season in Atqasuk as an undergraduate student, assisting with data collection of both wet and dry sites. She also assisted in collecting for Florida International University and the University of Texas El Paso.

Kailey majored in natural resources management and minored in biology and environmental studies. She graduated in December of 2018. Kailey is pursuing a career in watershed management with a focus on ecological restoration or conservation ecology.
