The geospatial technology minor provides specialized knowledge in geographic information science (GIS), remote sensing, and computer cartography.

Overview

This technology is used in various fields, including urban planning, environmental management, agriculture, transportation, and disaster response. Students study spatial relationships and patterns, helping to solve complex problems and improve decision-making processes.

Foundational coursework focuses on computer cartography, GIS, and remote sensing. You will take electives across disciplines with topics ranging from coding, natural resource management, computer science, geology, and more.
