• 20 CreditsThe cannabis operations management minor is an interdisciplinary program, with an experiential learning component, that focuses on social justice and safety issues related to cannabis use, the cannabis industry, and the role of community development and organization.
The program focuses on the roles community development and organization play in the developing cannabis industry. Students interested in non-profit and/or governmental sectors of cannabis operations will gain insight into this multifaceted and evolving field. The holistic curriculum is designed to prepare students for various roles within the retail cannabis industry and related fields through experiential learning.
Courses focus on customer service, cannabis regulations, tourism, and responsible cannabis retail operations. Additionally, you will have the option to explore subjects like criminal justice, urban and regional planning, sociology of drug use and abuse, and social work, ensuring a well-rounded education that is tailored to your interests.
