Artificial intelligence is the field of computer science focused on creating systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and problem-solving.

Overview

Grand Valley's Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) program offers a deeply technical and interdisciplinary curriculum. Grounded in computer science, cybersecurity, and software engineering, the program provides substantial practical learning opportunities through lab work and collaborative projects.

Students will study core topics such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and ethics and bias in AI. These courses ensure a comprehensive understanding of AI technologies and their societal impacts.
