Business students are facing increasing demands in the operations management areas to use operations expertise knowledge to make strategic, tactical and operational decisions.
This badge is designed to expose students to the most practical knowledge and skills in operations management. This badge provides students in-depth study of a variety of topics in quality management, strategic operations management, and operations and supply chain management. This is a more technical badge which builds on the knowledge that business students have obtained from the core courses and supply chain/operations/ logistics electives. This badge will provide the necessary skills for students to excel in the consulting and operations environment.

A digital badge, or badge, is a record of achievement that recognizes a student's completion of a coherent and meaningful academic experience. GVSU offers both credit and non-credit bearing badges as digital credentials. Credit-bearing badges include anywhere from 0.5 to 15 academic credits and may include additional noncredit criteria. Credit-bearing badges are also posted to the academic transcript.
