Our Process

This page describes the process to create the AASF and was released for context when the first draft of the AASF emerged in August 2025.

Academic Affairs was committed to an engaged process. In the Winter 2025 semester, input was gathered from all parts of the division. This input, along with many sources, were used to drive collaborative efforts over Summer 2025.

Journey to Date - Input, qualitative research, report, draft, strategic direction

Winter Term 2025: Academic Affairs colleagues provided input for Reach Higher Together
April-May 2025: Four faculty qualitative researchers synthesized the Reach Higher Together inputs provided by Academic Affairs
May 2025: Experiential Learning Taskforce completed their work
June 2025: SPARCA draft is shared
June-July 2025: Provost Cabinet members work on the strategic framework by developing an Academic Affairs vision statement, strategic priorities, and draft moves

Journey Ahead (Draft, Engagement, Define metrics, Draft Metrics, Finalize Draft, Activate and Implement)

August 2025: Academic Affairs Strategic Framework Draft is unveiled
August-October 2025: Engagement opportunities to provide feedback will be offered to Academic Affairs colleagues and other key stakeholders
November 2025: Provost Cabinet will revise the Academic Affairs Strategic Framework Draft. The framework will also be paired with an activation plan that will have metrics and timelines
December 2025: Academic Affairs Strategic Framework is finalized
Winter Term 2026: Move forward with activation and implementation
