Occupational Therapy

"I have always enjoyed traveling, but this study abroad opportunity focused on occupational therapy allowed my passion for people, profession, and travel to intersect. I was able to learn through the process of serving others on my field of practice, all the while experiencing the Guatemalan culture. it was a powerful and moving experience."

An international experience will provide you not only with essential skills to work effectively in industry, education, or the public sector but will touch and change all the facets of your life by the experience of living in another culture, will strengthen your character, and will broaden your mind.

Students interested in combining their study abroad experience with an internship, or those looking to focus solely on an internship, have many options. Customized internships are available in a few locations through GVSU internships, as well as other programs such as ELAP and World Endeavors
