Are you ready for one of the most anticipated events of the year? GVSU’s annual Spring Concert is happening NEXT WEEK and the line up is bringing huge energy on-campus. Headlining this year’s event is BigXThaPlug, a twenty-seven year old rapper from Dallas, Texas. He rapidly rose to fame from viral sounds on TikTok and Instagram, known for his deep voice, catchy intros, and big energy he brings to the stage. He comes out with great hits, and knows how to put on a fantastic and high energy show.

His music is a great blend of Southern hip-hop and loud, catchy anthems wrapped up into personal storytelling showcasing how his live performances are not ones to miss. BigX’s concerts are about being loud, energized, and investing fully in the moment to have fun.

Inspired largely by R&B and rap artists like Drake, BigXThaPlug started writing music in jail after missing his son’s first birthday. He credits that as a turning point in his life — he decided to devote himself to making music he is proud of and providing for his family

• He was a high school football star and originally had dreams of playing football professionally
• He wrote some of his first songs in solitary confinement on random pieces of paper
• Quickly after getting popular in the industry, he made his own label: 600 Entertainment
• He is a huge vocal advocate for Autism awareness and works closely with the Autism Society of America
