4th International Mathematics and Statistics Student Research Symposium

The following two events are part of the 4th International Mathematics and Statistics Student Research Symposium, a free, fully virtual conference featuring student presentations from around the world. Students are welcome to attend these two events without participating in other parts of the conference; however, all attendees must register to receive access information.
Plenary talk
The plenary session features the 117th Past President of the ASA,
Dr. Katherine Ensor, who will present “The Critical Role of
Statistical Thinking, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” This
talk highlights how statistical thinking shapes decision-making across
disciplines and why it remains essential in today’s data-driven
world.

Panel discussion
The Life After College panel brings together speakers from
different backgrounds to discuss pathways in mathematics and
statistics, including connections to industry, research, and emerging
areas such as data science and AI. This is a great opportunity for
students to hear diverse perspectives and ask questions about careers
and next steps.
