Certification Requirements

Thank you for your interest in being a lifeguard at the Grand Valley State University Pool.

To be eligible as a lifeguard at GVSU, you must pass all American Red Cross Lifeguard training before starting your first shift. Training could be made available as needed based on the total applicant pool. If you are selected, certification information will be provided to you.
