Pool Specific Facility Rules
  1. All participants must shower before entering into the pool.
  2. All participants under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult.
  3. All participants using the 3-M diving board must be at least 16 years old.
  4. No running, rough play, or excessive noise in the pool, on the pool deck, or in the locker rooms.
  5. No food or drink allowed onto the pool deck (bottled water is allowed).
  6. No pets allowed into the facility. Service dogs excluded see Rule 17.
  7. No SCUBA or snorkeling equipment allowed without prior approval by Management.
  8. Do not distract on-duty Lifeguards from responsibilities to the patrons or the pool.
  9. Do not participate in any “breath-holding” games.
  10. Do not swim if you have communicable or infectious diseases.
  11. Do not hang from the lane lines.
  12. Obey the Lifeguard at all times.
  13. Lifeguard’s have the right to limit or regulate: a) activities, b) equipment use, c) facility use.
  14. Diving is allowed only in designated area.
  15. Floatation devices must attach to the child and be approved by Lifeguard.
  16. Swimming equipment must stay in the shallow end of the pool.
  17. Individuals with a disability requiring an accommodation, please see a Lifeguard.
  18. Guests are responsible for their own towels.  If needed, please visit the Rec. Center Welcome Desk.
  19. Swim diapers are required of all children who wear diapers.
  20. Starting blocks are for the Varsity Swimming & Diving team use only.
  21. The use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco is prohibited within the pool facility.
  22. Grand Valley State University’s Athletic & Recreation Facilities Management takes no responsibility in damaged, lost or stolen items from locker rooms or pool deck.
  23. Grand Valley State University’s Athletic & Recreation Facilities Management takes no responsibility for any personal injury resulting from use of our pool.

Pool Punch Card FAQ

Are you interested in purchasing a Pool Punch Card? If so, please read the Frequently Ask Questions below!

Q. Do I need to complete a "Daily User Form" for every visit using this card?

A. No. We will ask you to complete 1 Daily User Form when you purchase the card. Then, you will need to compete a form for each person you bring with you to use the pool punch card. For example, if you bring 2 of your children with you, the card will be punched 3 times for that 1 visit and you will need to complete a Daily User Form for each child that first visit.

 

Q. What is a Pool Punch Card?

A. This is a way for you to buy 25 visits to the pool at the price of 20 visits! you will purchase this car upfront and you will be able to bypass purchasing a single pool visit each time you utilize the pool.

 

Q. How much is the Pool Punch Card?

A. $200.00

 

Q. How much am I saving for purchasing a Pool Punch Card?

A. $50.00. Typically, 25 single visits to the pool would cost you $250.00.

 

Q. Can I bring my kids with me and have them swim using the card?

A. Yes! The card will be punched each person that gets into the pool. There is a 10 person maximum per visit.

 

Q. Do I have to stop at the Rec Center Welcome Desk before each visit?

A. No! That is the beauty of this pass. You can go straight to the pool and check in with the lifeguards!
