This year's conference will be in a virtual format

Fall Science Update is a conference to bring together science teachers to build relationships, share strategies and disseminate resources. This year’s conference focuses on how teaching science has changed in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we have encouraged submissions that answer the questions below:

  • What resources have helped you transition to a remote / hybrid / distanced environment?
  • How have you used technology in support of teaching science during the COVID-19 pandemic?
  • How have other factors (i.e. student emotional health, broadband access) affected your ability to teach science during the COVID-19 pandemic?
  • How can we be aware of equity issues and work toward both improved access and engagement in teaching science toward students of color and other underserved populations?
  • What resources are science teachers using to take care of themselves?
