Abstract of Work
The CSO partnered with Jon Coles'' Sport Facility and Event Management class to host a basketball showcase for two middle school teams from GVSU-authorized charter schools. The showcase was designed and executed by GVSU students as their semester-long final project. Their goals were to ensure the game was conducted without issue and all visiting students and families had an exceptional on-campus experience. This project also set a baseline for what the GVSU students could accomplish. Moving forward, students in Coles'' classes will be expected to build bigger experiences that involve more students and families from GVSU''s charter public schools.
