Abstract of Work

The Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP) is a service unit in the College of Education and Community Innovation (CECI) committed to supporting and promoting collaborations amongst GVSU faculty, staff,  students, and K-12 schools in West Michigan. The CEP provides high-quality programming and resources to school districts and educators with the goal of supporting student achievement. The CEP  supports efforts across CECI in creating pathways for pK12 students to higher education and local administrator communication networks.  Current projects include: experiential learning initiatives highlighting design-thinking and place-based stewardship education;  interdisciplinary projects with PBS, WGVU Public Media, and the  National Education Telecommunications Association; Educators of Color  Network; and multiple grants carried out in collaboration with local businesses and nonprofits to support community-based projects throughout West Michigan.
