Audrey Tappenden
Audrey Tappenden graduated in 2016 with a major in Political Science and a minor in French. In addition to studying abroad in France, she was involved with the Cook Leadership Academy and GVSU Law Society. She received the 2016-17 Excellence in a Discipline award for the Political Science program.
After GVSU, Audrey worked for AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) in Fairbanks, Alaska. VISTA positions vary across the country and within states. Audrey’s VISTA service in Fairbanks allowed her to use and develop her skills in volunteer management and recruitment, grant-writing, project management, and stakeholder outreach and engagement, among others.
Since returning to Michigan, Audrey has worked for the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Coldwater, where she is now Economic Development Assistant.
