Description
This documentary follows Nadia Murad, a 23-year-old reluctant human rights activist, who works tirelessly to bring international attention to the 2014 genocide of the Yazidis in Northern Iraq. A refugee and former ISIS captive, Nadia tells her story of survival and escape, again and again, to UN and government officials who are slow to respond while also providing comfort to and trying to maintain hope among Yazidi refugees around the world. All the while, she dreams of a return to a simpler life.
