According to international law, it is a crime to enlist children under the age of 15 to serve as soldiers in war and yet hundreds of thousands of children, as young as 8, are enlisted in violent conflicts every year. This film tells the fictional story of Agu, a young boy who is forced into military service during a civil war in Africa. It offers a harrowing look into the complexities and devastation that accompanies this horrific violation of human rights.
