It was an evening of smiles, hugs and celebration as dozens of Padnos College of Engineering (PCE) students took part in the Winter Semester commencement ceremony on Friday, May 1 at the Van Andel Arena.

PCE had 24 students receive undergraduate degrees with another 12 completing graduate degrees.  Those who attended commencement walked across the stage to receive their degree, along with congratulations from PCE Dean Bayo Ogundipe and GVSU President Philomena Mantella.  The new grads also heard from keynote speaker Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, Inc. who talked about his time at Apple where he invented the computer that would become the Macintosh II.
