Programs
The Department of Occupational Science and Therapy includes two programs to meet the needs of those seeking an entry-level degree in the field and those already in practice seeking to advance their impact.
- An entry-level program for a Master of Occupational Therapy is designed for those entering the field of occupational therapy. There are two methods of delivery offered in the master’s program, traditional and hybrid.
- A post-professional doctoral program is designed for practicing therapists that provides advanced education and experiences and is considered a terminal degree.
Occupational Therapy M.S.
The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program offers two methods of delivery, traditional and hybrid, for the student entering the field of OT. Each method of delivery uses innovative educational practices to develop critical thinking, professional reasoning, and skill competency. Students regularly engage in simulations, evidence-based practice, and scholarly endeavors to transform into occupation-based practitioners. OTs are employed in a variety of settings including hospitals/acute care, school systems, skilled nursing facilities, mental health facilities, private practice, rehabilitation centers and vocational rehabilitation.
Occupational Therapy Dr.O.T.
This degree prepares occupational therapists who are already credentialed and practicing OT professionals with skills that are above entry level. Students must hold either a Bachelor’s degree in OT AND a Master’s degree in any field of study or OT, prior to entering a post professional doctoral program.
