NOW HIRING RESEARCH CONSULTANTS FOR FALL 2024!

Are you a curious person who likes to learn about different topics? Do you like talking about ideas? Apply to become a research consultant for Fall 2024!

Research consultants help students with library research, including:

  • Brainstorming and narrowing topics
  • Exploring existing research
  • Finding quality information, including peer-reviewed and scholarly sources
  • Reading and evaluating sources
  • Avoiding plagiarism
  • Citing sources

Research consultants work in the Knowledge Market alongside consultants from writing, speech, and digital skills. We provide paid research training, work around your class schedule, and offer many leadership opportunities. 

  • Starting wage: $13.43/hour

Are you a friendly and organized person? Do you like helping students and solving problems? Apply to become a Knowledge Market receptionist!

Join a team dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for students in the Mary Idema Pew Library Knowledge Market! Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other students and staff are required. Primary responsibilities include helping students check in for consultations, managing the drop-in queues for multiple services, communicating with receptionists at other locations, and answering questions at the Knowledge Market desk. We provide paid training and work around your class schedule.

  • Starting wage: $11.53/hour
