On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the inaugural Laker Accelerated Talent Link cohort held its first meeting. Twenty students, 70% of whom are from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will be interning at one of five employer partners during the winter semester in applied data analytics or project management. The employer partners are Acrisure, Amway, Cascade Engineering, Corewell Health, Michigan Software Labs, and GVSU Project Management Office.
Ken James, GVSU alumnus and Chief Diversity Officer at Muskegon Community College, led the conversation on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace. Throughout the semester, the cohort will cover topics on vocation, leadership, and financial literacy.
