For a Student - Work, Learn, and Be Hired
Personal Stories
Listen to current Talent Link Scholars share their own experiences.
How does the program work?
Employer Sponsored Scholarship
Talent Link Scholars receive an employer-sponsored scholarship applied to academic tuition to support the completion of a certificate program within the bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: asset management (real estate), business analytics, technical sales, business fundamentals, applied data analytics, ERP, or project management. See the certification page for details.
Co-Curricular Cohort and Paid Internship
Talent Link scholars will participate in
- A co-curricular cohort focused on vocation, leadership development, financial literacy, and life skills. These areas are essential to workplace readiness and will help the onboarding experience be a smooth transition.
- A paid internship with the employer sponsor for approximately 20 hours per week in a department utilizing skills developed in the certification program.
Post-Graduation Work
If positions are available and the internship is completed, students may receive employment offers. Student participants who receive full-time employment offers will be asked to commit in good faith to at least one (1) year of continual employment immediately following Program completion.
Joining The Talent Pipeline

Partnered with Corewell Health, she has received a scholarship from Corewell to complete a Project Management Certificate before starting her paid internship there next semester. Upon completion of the program, she will have a good-faith job offer from Corewell upon graduation.
CLAS student Nicole DeVries said Talent Link has been an astounding opportunity for me to get plugged into local companies, and sparked the confidence I needed to prove to myself that I am capable of great things. I have been given the chance to truly discover my passions and make an impact on something bigger than myself.
