GVSU Values Do Not Condone Westboro Actions

Grand Valley State University has received word that members of the Westboro Baptist Church will be gathering at a variety of Michigan locations, including near our Allendale campus. While the group has a legal right to gather and to communicate, the university does not condone the group’s message or actions, which are antithetical to our values as a community committed to inclusion. The university will do all we can to support members of our community who are impacted by the group’s actions. The GVSU Social Justice Centers and University Counseling Center are available for anyone who needs support.
