Human morality and moral behavior will be the focus of the upcoming Grand Dialogue in Science and Religion conference at Grand Valley. The conference provides an inter-institutional and interdisciplinary exploration of how science and religion connect to create constructive dialogue around interfaith. The conference will take place March 16 on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus. The keynote speaker will Christian Miller, the A.C. Reid professor of philosophy at Wake Forest University.

Kinza Khan, a domestic violence attorney, will be the featured speaker during the 2019 Rabbi Phillip Sigal Memorial Lecture on March 11.

Encouraging the next generation of interfaith leaders around the world, and especially on college campuses, will be the focus of the Kaufman Interfaith Institute's upcoming Abrahamic Dinner. The event will take place February 20 in Grand Rapids. Three local college students will share the perspectives of their individual traditions regarding transcending religious intolerance in order to foster greater interfaith understanding. This year's Jewish representative will be Allison Egrin, president of Hillel at Grand Valley.
