Virus Action Team update: Number of COVID-19 cases within GVSU community trending down; Staying in Place order takes effect

The number of positive COVID-19 cases within the Grand Valley community has trended down for the last couple of days after leveling off last week. In spite of this recent trend, the overall positive numbers for Grand Valley since the opening of the Fall semester have been concerning to both university community members and public health officials.

GVSU named a Top Midwest University, Best Value, Most Innovative by U.S. News & World Report

Grand Valley State University has again been named a top university in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. In the "2021 Best Colleges" rankings, Grand Valley is ranked third overall for Top Public Regional Universities in the Midwest and eighth for Most Innovative Schools in the Midwest.

Virus Action Team update: Thousands tested in campus community for COVID-19, shows low positivity rate

GVSU, in partnership with Spectrum Health, has conducted more than 2,200 tests for COVID-19 in the past week as students moved to campus. GVSU will conduct 5,000 more tests in the next two weeks on students, faculty and staff members.
