Students to break down the bear necessities during performances of "Jungle Book"

Grand Valley students will adhere to the "Law of the Jungle" when they perform a play that's a newer take on the beloved Disney classic film "The Jungle Book." Performances of "Jungle Book" will take place November 9-18 in the Linn Maxwell Keller Black Box Theatre on the Allendale Campus.

Unique African dance technique to be performed during Fall Arts Celebration

Grand Valley will celebrate the vibrant history of African dance during this year's Fall Arts Celebration. "Kariamu and Company: Traditions - A Celebration of African Dance" will take place November 12 on the Allendale Campus. The event will feature a performance of the Umfundalai technique, which was developed by Kariamu Welsh - a Guggenheim award-winning dance scholar, choreographer and educator.

Speakers at interfaith conference will discuss religion in current climate

The role of religious communities to both cause and rectify social division and tribalism will be discussed during the Jewish/Christian/Muslim Triennial Interfaith Dialogue Conference. The event will be hosted by the Kaufman Interfaith Institute on November 14-15.

"Voter vans" will run every 20 minutes from 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on November 6. The pick-up and drop-off location is the bus stop in front of Kirkhof Center and parking lot D-1 on the Allendale Campus.

Campus mourns death of computing faculty member
