The Graduate Student Within the Assistantship: Priscilla Aroboi

Priscilla Aroboi is in her first year of the Master of Health Administration graduate program at GVSU and is a graduate assistant in the Business Management Department. She assists in literature searches and conducts statistical analysis projects. Priscilla engages in compiling and coding data that is crucial for her department. She wanted to be a Graduate Assistant for the Business Department because she has previous research assistantship experience and has always enjoyed research and data base content.

Priscilla shares that the favorite parts of her job are being able to connect and work with various professors while helping them organize information that creates fluidity in their department. She also enjoys getting to know what they’re doing behind the scenes and gaining more experience in research projects.

Priscilla’s Graduate Assistantship is greatly setting her up for her future career because she plans to pursue a PhD after she graduates with her Master’s. Priscilla believes that the experience in research and building the skills to integrate data-driven results will help her with the immense research required in a PhD program. When she is finished with her master’s degree, she is hoping to find a career in either social work or health policy, but she is particularly passionate about children and family dynamics.

The Graduate School wishes Priscilla the best of luck on her journey!
