Preventing Chronic Disease Announces 2017 Student Research Paper Contest

Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD), a peer reviewed electronic journal published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, has announced its 2017 Student Research Paper Contest.

PCD is looking for high school, undergraduate and graduate students, and medical residency and recent postdoctoral fellows to submit papers relevant to the prevention, screening, surveillance, and/or population-based intervention of chronic diseases, including but not limited to arthritis, asthma, cancer, depression, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. Preventing Chronic Disease was established to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners in chronic disease prevention and health promotion.

The winning manuscript will be recognized on the PCD website and will be published in a September 2017 PCD release with an accompanying editorial, podcast interview, and social media promotion of the manuscript. The author will also be invited to participate in the panel review process for the Student Research Paper Contest.

Papers must be received electronically no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on March 10, 2017.

For eligibility requirements, further information, and to submit your manuscript, please visit the contest webpage.
