Record Number of Students Attend New Graduate Student Orientation

The Office of Graduate Studies, Admissions Office, and Pew Student Services hosted New Graduate Student Orientation for 375 students on August 20, 2014.

New Graduate Student Orientation provides an opportunity for new graduate students to become acquainted with the services and resources available at GVSU, along with meeting other students and faculty in their programs. The Office of Graduate Studies, the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence, the Graduate Student Association, and the Division of Inclusion & Equity all provide students with a brief overview of these offices. Pew Student Services, Information Technology, and the University Libraries also present services and information for students in attendance. The GVSU Admissions Office coordinates a Resource Fair, which includes information tables from Alumni Relations, Financial Aid, the Career Center, Campus Dining, the Padnos International Center, graduate student organizations, the PACES program, and many more.

Students unable to attend the orientation sessions can find much of this information on the Virtual Orientation website: https://www.gvsu.edu/gs/virtual/
