Trees provide many benefits. They can help rainwater soak into the soil, help keep our water clean, and reduce erosion. When choosing the trees to plant, it is important to think about the site conditions, including soil type, sun exposure, drainage, and space. This will help ensure you select a tree species that will be successful in the specific location where it is planted. Also, make sure you regularly give the tree water after it is planted to make sure it stays healthy and survives.

• $20 – $100 per tree, depending on species and size

• $25 for each watering bag (watering bags are not necessary if the tree is watered regularly with a bucket full of water)

A newly planted tree must be given water throughout its first growing season and until it has happily adjusted to its new location. Additional care, including pruning and fertilizing might be necessary depending on the species and location.
