PROJECT DETAILS:
This project would serve to directly enhance the efforts of the Office of Climate and Energy’s (OCE) work on a statewide Greenhouse Gas Inventory. The OCE is currently developing Michigan’s first GHG Inventory since 2005, using the EPA’s State Inventory Tool (SIT) as a framework.
However, the OCE acknowledges that, due to the Tool’s general structure, there will likely be gaps in methodology, understanding and quantification. As a result, we are seeking a student intern to perform comprehensive analysis of the SIT, including reviewing other states’ inventories that have used the SIT, and identify ways and areas of improvement to be implemented in future iterations of Michigan’s inventory.
