Welcome to Fostering Laker Success!
Fostering Laker Success is a campus-based program that works with youth who have experienced foster care and other out of home placements. We are housed in the Office of Student Support and Belonging in the Division of Enrollment Development and Educational Outreach. We are located on the second floor of Kleiner Commons (above Dish Dining Hall).
Our mission is student success! Program participants will have access to key resources that can help students succeed in their personal, academic, and professional lives. Participants will also gain a community of supportive staff and mentors to assist them in reaching their goals.

Student Testimonial
At Grand Valley I was able to connect with Ms. Brandy and the Fostering Laker Success Program. Weather it was getting a meal between classes, finding a place to take a nap, or just needing someone to talk to, Ms.Brandy is always there. She regulary checks in on me-asking about my classes, how I did on a quiz, or if I need any resouces like tutoring or counseling. She's not there for the big things, she cares about my day-to-day life. Class of 2025
