The Steelcase Library on the City Campus was closed during the summer
for remodeling. The changes made centralize library resources and make
it easier for students to utilize those resources.
Knowledge Market services and Tutoring Services are available outside
of the library entrance in the DeVos Center. A receptionist was added
to help students coming to the Speech Lab and Writing Center for
consultations or during drop-in hours. Additionally, the Universal
Testing Center (see below) is now on the ground floor of the library.
The Steelcase Library has new hours and will be staffed from 8 a.m.-6
p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Another benefit of locating all these services is, hopefully,
raising awareness of all these offerings,” said Jon Jeffryes,
associate dean for Curriculum, Research and User Services.
Jeffryes, Jen Torreano, director of the Knowledge Market, and Miranda
Krajniak, director of Public and Access Services and head of Library
Access Support Services, are focused on carrying the vibrancy of
student life at the libraries on the Valley Campus to the City Campus.
