Thomas
Hendrix, professor emeritus of geology, died October 8, 2023. He
was 90.
Hendrix joined Grand Valley's faculty in 1978, after teaching in the geology department at the University of Indiana. He served the university for 17 years, including two stints as department chair.
Hendrix earned Grand Valley's Outstanding Teacher Award in 1986 and the Michigan Association of Governing Boards’ Outstanding Professor Award in 1993.
