GVSU’s College of Computing will host the sixth annual Midwest Collegiate Computing Conference (MWC3) at the Eberhard Center March 26-28.
Undergraduate students from the College of Computing and the Seidman College of Business will be joined by students from 10 other colleges and universities for three days of networking, learning and competition. The event is free for undergraduate students and centers on the theme “Innovation and Integration” in computing.
Industry partners, including Auto-Owners Insurance, Vervint, Atomic Object, BizStream, Farmers Insurance, Consumers Credit Union and McGraw-Hill, support the conference through sponsorships, competition participation and keynote presentations on Human-AI Partnership, Accessibility in Software and the 2026 Software Industry. Company representatives also meet with students through panels and informal networking.
More than 120 students from Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Connecticut will participate in workshops and competitions spanning AI in business, cybersecurity, systems, development, data analytics and information technology/infrastructure.
MWC3 is managed by the MWC3 Foundation, the flagship program of the Center for Program Assessment, a Michigan-based nonprofit dedicated to student development and program improvement. Faculty and volunteers donate their time to ensure the event remains free for all student participants.
