Sharon Whitehill, retired professor of English, is pictured with her husband, Jim.

Sharon
Whitehill, retired professor of English, died on May 31, 2025, at
her home in Florida. She was 86.
Whitehill joined Grand Valley's faculty in 1971 and retired in 2002.
After retirement, she began writing poetry, publishing nearly 150 poems in literary journals and four chapbooks.
