Faculty and staff members who have given presentations, were recognized for outstanding contributions or had their research published are detailed below. The campus community can submit a sketch online for future publication. 

In the News
Two GVSU alumni, Kenisha Dorsey ’97 and Tanya Powell-May ’04, were among the people recognized by Grand Rapids Community College as GIANT award recipients, ahead of the January ceremony. Dorsey is also an adjunct faculty member for social work.

Chris Hinsch, professor of marketing, was interviewed by WOOD-TV for a story about local retailers competing for holiday shoppers.

Christian Glupker, senior clinical affiliate faculty of economics, was interviewed by Crain's Grand Rapids Business for a story about community banks gaining a larger market share from larger competitors.

Paul Isely, professor of economics and associate dean of Seidman College of Business, was interviewed by WOOD-TV for a story about how tariff checks would impact the economy.

Sketches
Jamie Langlois, associate professor of social work, was among the co-authors of a resource guide, Interactional Supervision: A Teaching Guide for the 4th Edition, published by NASW Press. 

Krista Benson, associate professor of interdisciplinary studies, was a co-author of a book, Reproductive Justice, Adoption, and Foster Care, published by Routledge. 

Larry Wyn, program Manager for CLAS Center for Experiential Learning, received a $989,182 grant from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to support the Michigan STEM (MiSTEM) Network.

Adrienne Wallace, associate professor of advertising and public relations, serves as the research co-chair for the Commission on Public Relations Education, which issued a report on public relations graduate education.

Mei Mah, associate director of the Center for Educational Partnerships, serves as the principal investigator for a $2.25 million grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. Over the next three years, the College of Education and Community Innovation, in partnership with Battle Creek Public Schools, will continue to support early-career educators and Battle Creek Central High School graduates who use the Bearcat Advantage program to enroll in GVSU.

Christina Beaudoin, professor of movement science, was the author of a book, Professional Development in Exercise Science, published by Routledge.
