recognized for outstanding contributions or had their research
published are detailed below. The campus community can submit

In the News Two GVSU alumni, Kenisha Dorsey ’97 and
Tanya Powell-May ’04, were among the people
recognized by Grand
Rapids Community College as GIANT award recipients, ahead of the
January ceremony. Dorsey is also an adjunct faculty member for social work.
Paul Isely, professor of economics and associate dean
of Seidman College of Business, was interviewed by WOOD-TV for a story
about how
tariff checks would impact the economy.
Larry Wyn, program Manager for CLAS Center for
Experiential Learning, received a $989,182 grant from the Michigan
Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to support the Michigan
STEM (MiSTEM) Network.
Adrienne Wallace, associate professor of advertising
and public relations, serves as the research co-chair for the
Commission on Public Relations Education, which issued a report
on public relations graduate education.
Mei Mah, associate director of the Center for
Educational Partnerships, serves as the principal investigator for a
$2.25 million grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. Over the next
three years, the College of Education and Community Innovation, in
partnership with Battle Creek Public Schools, will continue to support
early-career educators and Battle Creek Central High School graduates
who use the Bearcat Advantage program to enroll in GVSU.
The Boise State News highlighted "Michigan Listens" in a story about the collaborative event. Nursing faculty member Julie Bekius was elected to the board of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners.
The recent Best of CASE District V Awards competition recognized Kendra Stanley-Mills, who took this "Office Hours" photograph of Jason Yancey, Cory Morse, Brian Vernellis and Institutional Advancement's annual giving team.
