Majors Fair: Sept. 23-24, 2-4 p.m., Holton-Hooker Living Center, multipurpose room; new this year, the fair will cover two days, highlighting different majors on each day

Philosophy in Nature: Saturday, Sept. 27, 8-10 p.m., Hemlock Crossing Observatory, 8115 W. Olive Road, West Olive; "Stars in Space," part of a free, public humanities series organized by Areins Pelayo in which participants read favorite passages then enjoy journaling or watercolor painting in a scenic setting; RSVP here
