Area preceptors earn awards from College of Health Professions

The College of Health Professions honored area professionals who serve as preceptors for students in the college's 21 disciplines during a December awards ceremony at the DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health.

Denise Ludwig, professor of communication sciences and disorders and IPE center director, said awards are determined through nominations from students and faculty members. Last year, the College of Health Professions placed more than 5,100 students in hospitals, agencies, schools, and other health care settings.

Seventeen people, listed below, earned an Outstanding Preceptor Award.

  • Amy Werling, physician assistant studies, Trinity Health
  • Gary Detweiler, physician assistant studies, Trinity Health
