More than 40 workshops scheduled during two days of Teach-In

Grand Valley's 14th annual Teach-In, two days of student-centered learning dedicated to advancing educational equity, is Nov. 10-11 with sessions and events on the Valley and City campuses.

Rosie Perez, associate professor at the University of Michigan's Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, leads off activities Nov. 10 with a keynote presentation at 10 a.m. in the Kirkhof Center's Grand River Room.

During her remarks, "Teaching to Transgress: Using the Ecological Validation Model to Promote Student Learning, Development, and Success," Perez will explore ecological validation and its role in fostering student learning, development and success.

Presentations that pair students with faculty or staff are scheduled Nov. 10 on the Valley Campus and Nov. 11 on the City Campus.
