The COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction survey will launch this week through an initiative that aligns Grand Valley with more than 300 other institutions.

Following a recommendation from the Network of Advisors, Grand Valley joined the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE), a Harvard University Graduate School of Education project, for 2023-2026.

Affiliate and tenure-track faculty are encouraged to complete the survey. Ed Aboufadel, chair of the COACHE Steering Committee and senior associate vice president for Academic Affairs, said ample participation will help university leaders benchmark faculty experiences internally and against national results.

Survey findings will be reported to Provost Fatma Mili in the summer. Aboufadel said faculty will begin reviewing the report during the fall semester and creating pathways for changes.

A survey timeline, FAQs and more details about the COACHE survey are available online.
