Description of the Organization
Dominion Systems is a small to medium sized software company specializing in payroll and human resource applications. Dominion Systems allows clients to keep track of the full employee life cycle from onboarding to termination.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked on a new Angular page for the website, I updated some SQL procedures to improve performance. I also contributed to updating the entire website to reflect new UI looks and standards.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I improved my SQL skills during this rotation (prior to my first rotation I had no experience), I improved my C# skills, and I improved my visual basic skills. I learned some Angular 7, I learned a lot more about JQuery, and I learned a lot about basic web layouts for C#.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of the rotation was making my own page. This is where I learned a lot about Angular 7 and some of the cool stuff that it can do. It is also where I really started to improve my C# skills.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has made me desire to continue with web/mobile development. I am excited to keep growing and learning about Angular 7 and beyond and the keep practicing my C#.
