Description of the Organization
RDI is a ductile iron foundry that uses green sand casting to create part. They are 75% automotive.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Clean and inspect patterns that have recently been in production for any wear, breaks, or broken parts. Many projects that I worked on included completed redesign of pattern layouts for new and old tools. Pro/E Creo Parametric 2.0 was used to place castings on a plate that would be optimal for gating that were calculated.

I was able to calculate the gating from scratch.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I enjoy the manufacturing industry, but still do not know if this is the route I want to pursue. I and very glad to know that I can walk into an interview for manufacturing and have an educated and intelligent conversation about manufacturing processes.
