C/C++ code analysis/inspection, bringing it into compliance with MISRA rules APIs written for SW sample projects Linux kernel compilation, attempting to bring a real-time kernel into a hypervisor guest domain (Xen) Python code written for continuous integration server TeamCity
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Python, C++, how to work in a project team, communication with a customer, Linux kernel experience
Favorite Part of the Experience
Working with the project team, and the lead, Dan. Also, the responsibility of being put on a side project with only 3 other full-time engineers, and completing the project quickly.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I realized that I did enjoy working with the team and having deadlines to work towards, and I also learned more about the inner workings of an engineering firm. It didn't much influence my goals of becoming a successful engineer, more accurately reaffirming them.
