Description of the Organization
L3Harris has a lot of different products that they make, and I work in the Aviation Systems department. I work as a software and hardware test engineering intern testing altitude readers and black boxes in airplanes.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked a lot testing software and building test software for a lot of airplane equipment.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I gained a lot of knowledge about com ports and serial communication. I also learned a lot about the way an engineering company is set up.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The best part of the internship was definitely the team that I was apart of made it really enjoyable. The company had a great group of test engineers and it was an overall really great experience.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It re-affirms that I will enjoy my field of work, and I look forward to getting starting on my career.
