Description of the Organization
Koops is an automated manufacturing company that designs, builds, and services custom machines for factories.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was able to program, start up, debug, prove out, and service the machines that were made. I was held responsible for creating programs for automated robots to help assemble customer parts. Additionally, I worked to ensure that the machines worked properly and that all input and output communication was correct.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned how many mechanical systems work and are put together. I was able to see how to properly program machines to ensure safety of the user.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I enjoyed being able to work with robots to assemble parts as well as working with major engineers on issues or concerns about the machines. I was very interesting to critically think through problems and come up with a solution.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Now seeing what it takes to be a full time engineer, I look to learn all the skills i can to be able to create new engineering solutions and processes.
