Description of the Organization
Grand Rapids Christian High School is a Class B school with just over 800 students. It is a very welcoming department and school. The department consists of an Athletics Assistant, Facilities Manager, Middle School/Assistant Athletic Director, Video Board Director, and High School Athletic Director. It is a fast paced and high energetic office.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Tasks/Projects include creating sports schedules, digital work on the grchristianeagles website, event supervision, facility work including: preparation, inspection, and operation. With a lot of odd jobs falling inbetween.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Working this experience has helped me develop knowledge such as arbiter, schedule start, Big Teams website. It has also helped me develop strong time management and ability to adjust and adapt during busy times
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this internship was being able to develop personal relationships with every person working within the athletics office and also other staff within the school. The relationships developed will be long lasting connections that I will always be able to reach out to.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This internship has helped show me my strengths and weaknesses. Through it, I have gained strong connections who will be able to give me career advice and help me pursue my goals.
